Some questions
deserve more.
For executives, helping professionals, and high-functioning people navigating the gap between outward success and inward restlessness.
Executive coaching at Deepening is built for people whose lives do not break the way most therapy clients' lives break. You are not in crisis. You may be excelling. But something underneath is not working — a meaning gap, a relational pattern, a sense that the next promotion or milestone will not actually fix what you keep hoping it will fix.
This is not therapy and it is not generic career coaching. It is depth-oriented work for people who already have the cognitive horsepower to think about themselves clearly — they have just been thinking about the wrong questions, or thinking about the right questions alone.
Coaching engagements are 75-minute sessions, structured in packages rather than open-ended. Most clients work in three-month engagements with a defined focus. The work draws from existential psychology, depth psychology, narrative therapy, and the same clinical training that informs my therapy practice — adapted for clients who are not seeking treatment.
Coaching is the right fit when:
You are functioning, but flat
The external life works. The internal life feels muted, automatic, or hollowed out. The questions you used to find interesting no longer interest you, and you are not sure what does.
You are in a transition the data cannot decide for you
A pivot, a stepping-down, a sale, a reinvention. You have done the spreadsheets. The decision is not actually about the spreadsheets.
You are confronting a pattern that keeps repeating
The same relational dynamic in different relationships. The same conflict with different teams. The same internal voice in different decades.
You want a thinking partner, not a cheerleader
Someone willing to disagree with you. Someone who will name what you are avoiding instead of helping you avoid it more efficiently.
Three ways to work together.
See the fee schedule for specifics. In summary: single 75-minute sessions for one-off work, five-session packages for a defined question, and three-month engagements (18 sessions) for sustained development work.
